Minor fire at railway reservation centre in Surat

A minor fire broke out at the Surat railway reservation centre in Varacha area following short circuit in the overhead electric wire today, fire officials said.

The incident occurred when there was a short circuit in the high tension electricity wire over the plastic shed outside the reservation office, they said.

According to the fire officials, sparks from the wire led to fire in the plastic roof which was immediately doused avoiding any casualties due to the incident.

There was also no damage to the equipments inside the reservation centre, they added.
