Minimum temperatures settle above normal in Punjab and Haryana

Hisar in Haryana registered a low of 12.5 degrees Celsius, four degree above normal, while the minimum at Ambala settled at 8.8 deg C.

Cold conditions abated in many parts of Punjab and Haryana today as minimum temperature rose and settled a few notches above normal in the region.
  
Hisar in Haryana registered a low of 12.5 degrees Celsius, four degree above normal, while the minimum at Ambala settled at 8.8 deg C. The low at Karnal was 8.4 deg C. Bhiwani registered a low of 10.6 deg C, the MET said here.
  
The mercury also rose above normal in Chandigarh and settled at 11.4 deg C.
  
In Punjab, Amritsar registered a low of 11.9 deg C, five degrees above normal, while the minimum at Ludhiana settled at 8.4 deg C followed by Patiala at 8.5 deg C.
