Minimum temperature rises in Punjab, Haryana

The minimum temperature hovered between two to seven degree Celsius above normal in parts of Punjab and Haryana.

Cold conditions further abated in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh today with the minimum temperature rising by up to seven notches above normal in some parts of the region.
    
The minimum temperature hovered between two to seven degree Celsius above normal in parts of Punjab and Haryana, the Met office said here.
    
Narnaul was coldest in the plains of Punjab and Haryana with a low of nine deg C, two notches above normal.
    
While Karnal settled at a low of 10.2 deg C, two notches above normal, the minimum temperature at Amritsar was 12.2 degrees, six notches above normal.
    
Among the other places, Ambala had a low of 12.3 deg C, four notches above normal, followed by 12.5 degrees Celsius at Patiala, which was four notches above normal.
    
Ludhiana recorded a low of 13.4 deg C, six notches above normal. The minimum was 13.8 degrees and 14.3 deg C at Chandigarh and Hisar respectively, rise of seven notches above normal.
    
The Met have forecast cloudy sky with possibility of thundershowers at several places in the next 48 hours.
