Mild tremors felt in Srinagar and adjoining areas

A mild intensity earthquake hit Srinagar and its adjoining areas this afternoon but there were no immediate reports of any casualty or damage to property.

The tremors measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale were felt at around 1404 PM, a spokesperson from the state disaster management said.

The earthquake had its epicentre at Hindukush in Afghanistan, he said adding that no casualty or damage to property has been reported so far.
