In an apparent dig at yoga guru Baba Ramdev, who has hinted at floating a political party to contest the next Lok Sabha polls, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati today cautioned her party workers not to fall in the trap of "such babas".

"Some babas are planning to float their own parties with the help of their disciples and contest elections," the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief said.

"But you [workers] should not fall in the trap of these babas," she told a party rally here to mark the silver jubilee of the BSP's formation.

Without naming anybody, she said these gurus were selling their own prescriptions in the name of yoga exercises. "These gurus and babas are minting money by selling their prescriptions to the people in the name of teaching [yoga]," she said.
