Several securitymen today had a lucky escape as Maoists exploded two landmines minutes after two vehicles of the joint security force crossed a road near Narcha village on way to Kantapahari near troubled Lalgarh.
    
Police said the security personnel immediately surrounded the area and launched an operation as armed Maoists opened fire at them.
   
The security personnel returned the fire and the encounter continued for about 30 minutes with the ultras, police said.
    
No casualty was reported by the police.
