Maoist posters found on police kiosks in Kolkata

Maoist posters demanding release of Peoples Committee against Police Atrocities (PCPA) leader Chatradhar Mahato were found pasted on police kiosks and a school in Salt Lake area here.

Written in red ink, the posters also demanded withdrawal of the joint forces engaged in anti-Maoist operations in West Midnapore, police said.

Five posters were found at the school and two on the police kiosks, they said.

Some young men in a taxi pasted the posters last night, police said, adding the accused are yet to be identified.

Earlier, Maoist posters had appeared on the walls of the state secretariat, Writers' Buildings, and other important buildings here.
