Mamata Banerjee's mother stable, but still critical

The condition of Gayetri Banerjee the mother of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, was stable on Tuesday, but she was still on life support.

"She is stable, but still critical," director of medical education Sushanta Banerjee said of Gayetri Banerjee's condition at the state-run SSKM hospital.

Gayetri Banerjee, 81, was admitted to the hospital on November 25 with kidney-related complications.

A medical board under R Pande was monitoring her condition.
