LPG cylinder explodes in Punjab, five die

Five people, three of them women, were killed and two injured seriously in an LPG cylinder blast in a house in Bathinda this evening, police said.

The incident happened at around 6.30pm in Jogi Nagar locality, police said adding three women and two children died in the explosion.

The blast extensively damaged the house which belonged to Balwant Singh, they said adding his son was among those seriously injured.

The injured were admitted to hospital.
