Lovers commit suicide by consuming poison in Jammu

Apparently depressed with disapproval of their relationship by their parents, a couple allegedly committed suicide in Akhnoor border tehsil of Jammu district here, police said today.
 
21-year-old Preetam Lal and 20-year-old Shamshad consumed poison last night in the outskirts of their village Nour, 35 kms from here, deputy superintendent of police, Akhnoor, Mustaq Ahmed said.
 
Both of them were rushed to a hospital where doctors declared them brought dead, he said.
 
A case has been registered in this regard and investigations are on.
