'Kerala's present position not for FDI in retail sector'

Days after state Congress chief Ramesh Chennithala sought reconsideration of Centre's move on 51% FDI in retail sector, the party-led UDF government in Kerala today said the state's 'present position' did not allow it.

Industries Minister PK Kunhalikutty said this at a function here.

He also flayed the state-wide traders hartal against FDI in retail sector, saying they had resorted to protests without knowing the state government's position on the matter.
