Stepping up attack on Andhra Pradesh ministers from non-Telangana regions for their alleged critical remarks on separate statehood demand, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president K Chandrasekhar Rao today said he would meet governor ESL Narasimhan soon to press for their dismissal.

"The report submitted by ministers from non-Telangana regions to the Sri Krishna committee is full of lies and false claims. They said those seeking separate Telangana are anti-national. We take strong exception to this. I will meet the governor soon and demand their dismissal. They should tender unconditional apology for insulting Telangana," he told reporters in Hyderabad.

"As per the information given to Parliament by Union minister of state for rural development Pradip Jain Aditya yesterday, nine out of 10 districts in Telangana are backward. Can the non-Telangana ministers say that the information given by the Centre is wrong?," Rao asked.

He claimed that the state ministers from non-Telangana regions have put their own government to shame and they even misled chief minister K Rosaiah by stating that those seeking separate statehood are anti-nationals.

"If they have any faith in democracy, these ministers should tender an unconditional apology," he said.

State endowments minister Gade Venkata Reddy, who made the presentation before the Sri Krishna committee on behalf of the ministers from coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema, has denied that they described Telangana supporters as anti-nationals.

Alleging that the Congress government has been neglecting Sri Ram Sagar Project, the life line of Telangana districts like Warangal, the TRS president demanded that the government release Rs300 crore immediately for taking up its maintenance works. The TRS president also sought the removal of state DGP RR Girish Kumar for allegedly ordering the transfer of some police officers from Hyderabad against the spirit of assembly resolution on the free zone issue.

The free zone issue is about recruitment and employment of natives in police and other government jobs.
