Karnataka high court notice to Anil Kumble's wife on child custody case

The Karnataka high court today ordered issue of notice to cricketer Anil Kumble's wife Chetana on a petition by her former husband, seeking permanent custody of her daughter.

When the petition filed by Jagirdar praying for a direction for custody of his daughter Aaruni came up for hearing, a division bench of Justice NK Patil and Justice Arali Nagaraj ordered issue of notice to the respondent.

Jagirdar in his petition prayed for setting aside the April l7, 2011 order passed by a family court, granting him 110 days visitation rights to his daughter while dismissing his plea for permanent custody.

Chetana has two children from her second marriage with Kumble, besides Aaruni, 16, from her first marriage.
