The Karnataka high court today adjourned to December 15 the hearing of the criminal petition filed by self-styled godman Nithyananda seeking quashing of two FIRs including rape against him.

Justice CR Kumaraswamy adjourned the matter for further hearing after listening to arguments.

Nithyananda had filed application before the Court on December 10 seeking inclusion of the charge sheet filed by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) probing the matter and also the cognisance order of the Ramanagaram court (taking cognisance) of the charge sheet in this petition for quashing.

Two disciples of Nithyananda last week had offered to be subjected to narco test as they wanted "truth to prevail". They had also challenged Lenin Karuppan, Nithyananda's former disciple who had exposed his alleged sex scandal by releasing a secretly-recorded video, to undergo the test.

The self-styled godman was arrested from Himachal Pradesh in April after TV channels telecast visuals showing him in a compromising position with an actress.
