Jyot gets overwhelming response

An exhibition based on the tenets of Jainism was inaugurated on Saturday.

'Jyot', an exhibition based on the intrinsic tenets of Jainism, was inaugurated at SG Highway on Saturday in the presence of spiritual gurus and leading corporate honchos
in the state.

The exhibition is organised by Jyot and supported by Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO), Gujarat Chapter. Thousands of devotees and knowledge seekers visited the exhibition on the first day.

The tenets in pictorial form put up for display, supported with scientific proof, left the audience spell bound. Around 500 pictures displayed at the massive sets of the exhibition which showcased various examples of how birds and animals have skills of self defence, constructing townships, sensing danger or search for food, communication, among many other issues.

The tenets of the Jain religion were explained with the help of audio-visual effects too.
"The example of a crow who used the zebra crossing to crack an almond and waited for the traffic lights to turn red before eating it was simply astounding," claimed Harsh Shah, a young student who visited the exhibition on Saturday.

Dignitaries including members of Adani and Torrent families, Utkarsh Shah, president of JITO (Gujarat Chapter), Hiren Patel, managing director of Nirma Industries Ltd, Jigish Shah and Jaxay Shah of Savvy Infrastructures, Dipak Patel of Ganesh Housing, Harakhchand Gala of Navneet family were present at the inauguration.
