JK government to regularise colonies of POK displaced

The Jammu and Kashmir government will soon issue orders for the regularisation of over forty camps and colonies inhabited by the families displaced from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) since 1947 in Jammu region.

The government is also trying for a quota for the youth of these families in professional colleges, the notification for which is also expected to be issued in near future, state minister for revenue, relief and rehabilitation Raman Bhalla said today.

At a function organised by the state unit of the Shiromani Akali Dal, Bhalla said the orders for ownership would be issued for Bhoor Camp and Gaddi Garh basti in the next few days.
