JD(U) demands early commissioning of Kudankulam power plant

Janata Dal(U)'s Puducherry unit will hold a fast on December 12 to persuade the Centre to commission the Kudankulam nuclear power plant so as to meet the power requirements of Tamil Nadu and the Union Territory.

Party state unit president R Arumugham said in a release today that those trying to disrupt the initiatives of the Centre to commission the plant should be booked under National Security Act besides holding a CBI probe to find out whether the opponents to the plant had any links with any foreign agency or source.
