Air India, had in March this year, operated its Mumbai-New York flight with an all-women crew to celebrate International Women's Day.

Taking a cue from the national air-carrier, Air India, budget airline IndiGo today operated a flight on its Hyderabad-Chennai sector with an all-women crew.
The flight, comprising an all-women cockpit and cabin-crew, flew badminton champion Saina Nehwal amongst other tournament players, from Hyderabad to Chennai a day prior to the Yonex Sunrise India Open Grand Prix Gold 2010, an IndiGo press release said here.

"At IndiGo, we believe that women have the power to change any industry. It is our privilege to be part of this initiative," IndiGo Airline's president, Aditya Ghosh, said.
Ghosh said women comprise about 40% of the total workforce in IndiGo adding, "we ensure that we are able to provide the best work environment to address their needs."
