India's first transit hub for army inaugurated

The army's Northern Command chief Lt Gen BS Jaswal today inaugurated the country's first "modern transit hub" for army men and their families that provides air, rail and bus ticket booking facilities.

The army's Northern Command chief Lt Gen BS Jaswal today inaugurated the country's first "modern transit hub" for army men and their families that provides air, rail and bus ticket booking facilities.
 
The hub, set up in Army's Northern Command at Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir, is the first of its kind in the country.
 
It also offers shuttle service to Command Hospital and other places in Udhampur town, besides modern catering facilities, lounge, STD/PCO, waiting areas and rest bays.
 
Jaswal lauded the efforts to set up the transit hub and said similar facility must be established in all stations.
