Managers in the making at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA) indulged in close cultural competition.

Students of the post-graduate program in management (PGP-1) at IIMA took a break from the hectic academic schedule to hunt for hidden talent and participated in 'T-Nite' - a four-day competition comprising fun events.

In the competition, singing, dancing, walking the ramp and acting skills of the students were on display as they battled it out to see which section of students were the most talented. The group of PGP-1 was divided into five sections - A, B, C, D and E - to compete in a range of cultural and fun competitions in a bid to win the coveted 'T-Nite' Trophy.

Students say, during these four days, the campus is transformed with the mess being decorated in banners and posters, the corridors and pathways ringing with section tempo shouts, common areas in the dorm playing host to dance practices and so on. Classrooms are used by sections to make props, practice and strategise for the upcoming night.

The event began on August 4 with 'Pub Run' and fun games such as sack race, three-legged race and lemon-and-spoon race and continued with the 'Mess Night' on Friday, which allowed students to show off their dancing and 'rocking' skills with time given to each section for a dance and mock rock. The competition will go on for two more nights.
