I’m surprised and my supporters are shocked: Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

When the bullet was fired, we didn’t pay much attention, thinking it was a firecracker bursting. It was only later that we saw the bullet wound and realised that a shot had been fired. Police came and began investigating.

I am surprised and my supporters are shocked. Such a thing has never happened before. My ashram is open, we don’t keep any security at all. On Sundays, thousands turn up at the ashram.

This incident has not changed my perception. I don’t want to keep security even now, but for international events that we may host, we will perhaps have to keep security.

I am also surprised because I don’t have enmity towards any person. We have no idea who could be behind this. I leave it to the investigating agencies to find out.

Everything else is fine. I don’t want people to be anxious or worry. We are all fine here and everything is normal.

What is perhaps more shocking is how the media misconstrued the incident. They have been reporting that Vinay was hit by Mallikarjun, actually they are the same person and his name is Vinay Mallikarjun!
