"I am just a candidate" and the Congress high command will decide who will head the party government in Haryana, chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said exuding confidence of retaining power in the October 13 assembly elections.

"Mein kewal umeedvar hoon, davedar nahein (I am just a candidate and not staking claim to be CM)," Hooda, who is seeking re-election from Garhi Sampla-Kiloi assembly seat in Rohtak district, said.

To repeated questions after release of the party manifesto, as to who will become the chief minister, his refrain was, "Whomsoever they (the high command) want ..It is always decided by the party."

Confident that the ruling Congress will sweep the polls, he, however, declined to predict as to how many seats the Congress would get in the 90-member House.

"I am not an astrologer, but I can certainly tell (you) that we will have a clean sweep," he said.
