Husband sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for dowry death Muzaffarnagar

A local court has sentenced a man to ten years rigorous imprisonment for murdering his wife over dowry demand in the district.

Additional district sessions judge PC Srivastava yesterday found Nawab guilty of murdering his wife Sazia over dowry, while his brother Mustakim and mother Hajra were acquitted, for lack of evidence.

According to prosecution, Sazia was hanged to death by Nawab at Alipur village in the district on July 31, 2008, for bringing insufficient dowry.
