Human rights workshop tomorrow in Delhi

The National Human Rights Commission will organise a day-long workshop of human rights defenders here tomorrow to mark its 16th foundation day.
 
NHRC acting chairperson justice G P Mathur, former NHRC chairperson justice AS Anand, NHRC members justice BC Patel and Satyabrata Pal will be the prominent speakers, apart from several human rights activists, a NHRC press note here said. Representatives of various stakeholders will participate in the interactive sessions of the workshop to be held at NASC Complex opposite Todapur village here.
 
Topics to be covered at the workshop include UN declarations on human rights and other international standards, legal framework, and issues concerning human rights defenders, it added.
