They jumped from Sardarnagar Bridge and ended a story. But theirs is a different story, a tragedy that you might have read in Shakespeare novels.
On Wednesday night, deputy chief fire officer PS Parmar received a call saying that a couple jumped from Sardarnagar Bridge at 10 pm into Sabaramti. After an hour of rescue operations, they succeeded but only to find dead bodies of the couple. Parmar and his team found out that, their hands were tied together with a hanker-chief. However, on Thursday the Ellisbridge police revealed their identity and the story behind their tragic end.
Twenty-six year-old Shailesh Ravat had married 22-year-old, Hina just 10 months ago. It was a love marriage and also the second marriage for both. Interestingly, the couple had been in love during their teenage times. But fate separated them. It was only a year back when both of them divorced their respective spouse and finally got married.
However, post their marriage things got rough between the two. For Rakshabandhan, Hina visited her father's house at Guptanagar in Vasna. And a day later, Shailesh went to bring her back to his house at Ram-Rahim Tekara in Bahrampur extension.
On their way back, the pair started arguing over a problem, they had been facing for several months. According to police, Hina no longer wanted to live at Shailesh's house. It was then that they discussed and decided to take the deadly step and end their lives.
