Homage paid on police commemoration day in Puducherry

A host of dignitaries including Puducherry chief secretary R Chandramohan, DGP AK Varma, senior police officers and Group Commander of NCC here Col DP Singh today paid homage at the Police Martyrs Memorial here on the occasion of `observance of Police Commemoration Day`.

Earlier the DGP read out the names of police personnel who had sacrificed their life during the one year while performing duty. He said  822 police personnel were killed in different parts of the country while performing duty.
