High tension wire falls on East Delhi house, 22 injured

The 1,000-metre long electrical wire melted and fell in a residential area in Khureji at around 7.55pm yesterday and fire tenders were sent to the spot to douse the blaze, the officials said.

Twenty-two people, including six children, suffered injuries when a high tension electrical wire fell on houses in east Delhi, fire brigade officials said today.

The 1,000-metre long electrical wire melted and fell in a residential area in Khureji at around 7.55pm yesterday and fire tenders were sent to the spot to douse the blaze, the officials said.

People sitting outside their houses were injured. Some parts of their houses were also damaged.

A total of 22 people, including six children, were injured. While eight people were taken to a private hospital others were rushed to Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital.
