Gujarat govt transfers 21 police officers

Two deputy commissioners from the city have been transferred to other districts.

With just a few months to go for civic polls, the state home department on Wednesday transferred 21 IPS officers, with promotion to one of them, and promoted three deputy superintendents of police as IPS officers and posted them at different places.

Two deputy commissioners from the city have been transferred to other districts.

DCP, Zone 5, Ajay Chaudhary has been transferred as the district superintendent of police, Navsari, while DCP Zone 4, BR Pandor, has been transferred as DSP, Western Railway in Vadodara. Amit Vishwakarma from SRP Group 1 will replace Pandor, while the post of Zone 5 DCP has not been filled. Apart from this, many DSPs from different districts of the state have been transferred.

DSP, Sabarkantha, RB Brahmbhatt has been transferred to intelligence department in Gandhinagar. DR Patel, the DCP from Surat, will replace Brahmbhatt.

Raju Bhargava, DSP of Mehsana, has been promoted and transferred as DIG, law and order in Gandhinagar. The DSP of Amreli, SS Trivedi, has been transferred to CID (Crime) in Gandhinagar. 

Nilesh Jajadia (ACP in Rajkot), Sharad Singhal (DySP in Himmatnagar) and Chirag Koradia (DySP in Porbandar) have been promoted as IPS officers.
