Govt action against Ramdev 'wrong': Babulal Marandi

Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) chief Babulal Marandi today criticised the Union government for the pre-dawn police action at Ramlila Maidan.

Describing the police action at the Ramlila Maidan, the venue of fast-unto-death agitation launched by Baba Ramdev, Marandi said the action of the Union government was "absolutely wrong."

"There was no need to lob tear gas shells or use force on the agitationists. I will never support such action taken by Congress-led UPA government," Marandi, who was here to participate in a party function, told newspersons.
