Gold ornaments worth Rs one cr robbed from Andhra Bank in Andhra Pradesh

Gold ornaments worth over Rs one crore were stolen from Andhra Bank's Gudur branch here, in the wee hours today.

Some unknown persons entered into the bank from the rearside window and decamped with the gold jewellery kept in safe lockers, police said, adding, the safe vault were damaged by the miscreants.
   
District superintendent of police Shaw Nawaz Khan rushed to Gudur, on getting the news, police said.
   
Police are investigating the matter, they said.
