The Goa Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (GPYCC) has decided to raise the issue of constant wrangling within the Digamber Kamat-led government in the state, with Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi.

"We will seek an appointment with Rahul Gandhi through our president Rajiv Satav and express our discontent with the alliance partner constantly pressuring chief minister Digamber Kamat over petty issues," GPYCC president Sankulp Amonkar told reporters here.

Amonkar said the Youth Congress National president will meet workers in Goa on April 13 where this issue will be brought up.

"We have already reported our discontent with Goa desk-incharge Kiran Reddy," he said briefing media in presence of National Youth Congress coordinator, Ravinder Reddy.

Goa has been witnessing rebellion by a group of seven legislators, led by Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), which has been pushing the government into a crisis. The group, calling themselves as G7, has been demanding change in guard by replacing Kamat with a new face.

"We (GPYCC) demand that these things should be stopped. The groupism should stop as people and governance is getting affected," Amonkar commented responding to a question.

He also said the issue of illegal and uncontrolled mining in the state will be discussed with Gandhi seeking his intervention to save the state from intense mining activities.
