Girl gang-raped in Vadodara for failing to return Rs1,000

Three youths were arrested for allegedly raping a girl at a farm on the outskirts of the city here, police said today. The accused took the girl to a farm and allegedly raped her last night after she failed to return Rs1,000 she owed to one of the accused, they said.

They also photographed the girl in compromising positions with an intention to blackmail her, they said. The victim, in her statement to the police, said that she failed to pay Rs1,000 she had borrowed from one of the accused to help her friend following which he and his friends raped her.
