Ghosh calls for speedy justice to people

Chief justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court justice Barin Ghosh has stressed the need for joint efforts by the whole system in the judiciary to provide speedy
justice to the people.
    
"Speeding up disposal of cases would mean dispensation of justice. Both Bar and Bench have to play a vital role together so that people get quick justice," Justice Ghosh said while addressing members of Bar Association and judges at Baramulla, 55km from here, yesterday.
    
He said establishing basic infrastructure was the need of the hour to revitalise the judicial system. Soon decisions would be taken on authorising sub judge Sopore and sub judge Uri to issue succession certificates.

Also Anti-Corruption and Consumer Courts in the district would be given more powers so that inconveniences faced by the litigants are redressed, Justice Ghosh said.
    
Later, the chief justice went round various chambers and inspected the building of new court complex and Bar Chamber being constructed.
