To nab the real culprits behind the gruesome murder of 6-year-old Dhruvi Jayswal, Gandhinagar police detained two people on Friday. According to Archana Shivhare, superintendent of police, Gandhinagar, the identities of the detainees will be revealed only when something concrete emerges from the investigation.
However, it was learnt from reliable sources that both the suspects are very ‘close’ to the victim’s family, who was abducted by an unidentified woman from her school in Dehgam town of Gandhinagar.

On Wednesday, Sandeep Jaiswal, a resident of Dehgam informed the police about the abduction of his daughter Dhruvi, studying in Class 1of Purnima school. When she was in the class, a woman took permission from the class teacher to take Dhruvi to hospital, and vanished with the girl. After learning about the mysterious disappearance of his daughter, family members started search operation for Dhruvi.  When they were going in their car towards Bhatia village of Sabarkantha district, they saw some crows flying near the river front of Khari river. When they reached the spot, family members were shocked to find a half-burnt body of a girl. Soon, they realised that it was that of Dhruvi, as her shoes and school dress were also found from the spot, 45 km away from Dehgam.

After learning about the recovery of the body, police rushed to the spot with dog squad. Police found 6 tins of beer and a packet of condom from the spot. This led to a speculation that she might have been raped and then murdered by the culprits, after which they drank beer. To nab the culprits, police also called the FSL experts to take the finger prints from the empty beer tins.   To show the solidarity, Dehgam has observed a total bandh on Friday.

According to sources, some one very close to the family might have been involved in the murder.
