Fuel price hike was inevitable: SM Krishna

External Affairs Minister SM Krishna today said the recent fuel price hike was inevitable and a decision on it had been taken only after serious discussion.

"Crude oil price has gone up in the international market and the price hike on diesel, domestic LPG and kerosene was inevitable and was taken after serious discussions," he told reporters on the sidelines of a function here.

On the bilateral talks between India and Pakistan, he opined that such discussions were the only way forward to resolve various issues.
