Four killed in road mishap in Orissa

At least four persons died on the spot and two others were critically injured when their car was hit from behind by a speeding van at Gobindpur on NH-5.

At least four persons died on the spot and two others were critically injured when their car was hit from behind by a speeding van at Gobindpur on NH-5, about 30 km from here today.

Police said the six were seated inside the car, which was parked on the roadside. The driver was among those who died on the spot.

Following the incident, irate locals put up a blockade and torched the van which hit movement of traffic on the road, police said.

They also prevented the police from removing the bodies from the spot.

One of the critically injured persons succumbed to his injuries on way to the SCB medical college and hospital here.
