Four killed, 38 injured in accident in Jammu

Four persons, including two children, were killed and 38 others injured when their vehicle skidded off the road and rolled down into a 40-feet deep gorge at Chohata, about 48-kms from here today, police said.

The ill-fated matador was on its way from Samba to Salora Mandi and met with the accident at around 12:45pm today, they said adding the accident occurred when the driver was negotiating a curve. Police have rushed to the site and started rescue operation. The injured have been shifted to district hospital at Samba for treatment.

However, condition of some of the injured was stated to be critical, they added.
