Four jawans injured as bomb accidentally explodes in Ludhiana

The incident occurred during an operation to dispose bombs that came in scrap received from Gulf countries, Colonel Vinod Bhatt who oversaw the operation said.

Four army jawans were injured, one of them seriously, when a bomb accidentally exploded during a disposal operation at Matewara village in Ludhiana, an official said.

The incident occurred during an operation to dispose bombs that came in scrap received from Gulf countries, Colonel Vinod Bhatt who oversaw the operation said.

The jawans were in charge of segregating bomb scrap.

During the course of the operation, a bomb suddenly went off injuring a subedar and three jawans. They were rushed to a hospital here. Three were discharged and one was being treated for a badly-damaged jaw.
