Vastrapur police have started investigation against four people who have allegedly duped a person by luring him to give high monthly rental for his car. The police action follows Sabarkantha-based businessman Harshad Mehta's complaint against these four fraudsters. Mehta had lodged a complaint that, one Raju Joti alias Sanjay Bhavsar, along with three accomplishes had promised to give Mehta monthly rental of Rs21,000 for his car.

Joti convinced Mehta to purchase a car in his name by paying a down payment of Rs1.20 lakh and in return Joti will give Mehta a monthly rental of Rs21,000. Not only Mehta, but four other people too deposited Rs1.20 lakh each, to purchase cars.

As promised, Joti paid them an installment of Rs21,000 once, and then disappeared from the rented office in Patel complex at the SG Highway. According to police sources, Joti and his accomplishes, had committed identical frauds worth crores of rupees in Surat too. Police have started massive manhunt to nab the accused.
