Five swine flu deaths were reported from Maharashtra, taking the country-wide death toll due to the virus to 385 as 122 new cases were reported today. Out of the five deaths in Maharashtra, two cases were reported today while three samples sent for testing turned positive, an official spokesperson said here.
   
Maharashtra reported maximum of 43 cases during the day followed by Delhi (39). The confirmed cases have now risen to 11,778 in the country. Samples from 49,659 persons have been tested for H1N1 in government laboratories and a few private laboratories across the country of which 23.7 per cent have been found positive, the official said.
    
49,160 passengers have been screened at 22 airports with 83 counters manned by 225 doctors and 172 paramedics. Total passengers screened till date number 69,63,238,of the 122 cases reported during the day, three have foreign travel history and rest are indigenous cases, he said.
