Five killed in tractor-truck collision

Five members of a marriage party, including three women, were killed and 11 others were injured when the tractor-trolley in which they were travelling collided with a truck last night on Khandwa-Harsud road, about 50 km away from here, police said today.

The accident occurred when the marriage party of Barud village was returning from Chipipura after the wedding on a tractor-trolley, police said.

The tractor collided with the truck at Betul-Phata killing all five of them on the spot.
    
The deceased persons are identified as Komalram, 65, Phulkibai, 50, Kshamabai, 39, Guddibai, 45 and one more person who was not yet identified.

The injured persons were admitted in the district hospital here.
