A fire broke out this morning in the trauma ward of a government hospital where 60 patients are admitted but there were no reports of any casualties in the blaze.
The fire broke out in an air-conditioning duct in the first floor of Government Multi-Speciality Hospital in Chandigarh. The smoke filled the area but all the patients were evacuated in time, a fire department official said.
Three fire tenders took an hour to control the blaze.
