Fierce gunbattle in Poonch; one militant dead

A fierce gunbattle has broken out between security forces and a group of militants in Poonch district in which a militant was killed, police said.
    
Acting on a tip-off, security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Nadola area of the district this morning.
    
A group of militants, who were hiding there, fired at the army personnel, forcing them to retaliate. A fierce gunbattle followed in which one militant was shot dead, they said.
    
"The encounter is still on," police said, adding so far the army personnel recovered some granades, one AK rifle and two magazines.
