It seems like the Congress is tightening the screws on the Gujarat government. The party has accused the BJP government of not submitting reports of the railway police inquiry and of  CID-Crime, regarding Tulsiram Prajapati fake encounter case, to the Supreme Court. It is believed that the reports focused on various loopholes in the alleged encounter.

While addressing a press conference, senior Congress leader Arjun Modhwadia told reporters that the government is trying to suppress the investigation by not submitting the reports, which indirectly accuses officers like DG Vanzara, Rajkumar Pandian and others of carrying out fake encounter of Prajapati.

Modhwadia also tried pointing out loopholes mentioned in the reports, which were found during investigation by the two agencies. "The reports of both the railway police and CID-Crime had raised many questions on the encounter, and it should have been submitted to the Supreme Court," Modhwadia said.

The investigation report of the railway police states that there is no record available as to the information provided by the Shamlaji police of Rajasthan or the police control room and that there was no evidence to prove that Prajapati had escaped.

The report also raises questions about the gun, which is alleged to have been used by Prajapati to attack the police. "According to the FSL report, the gun was jammed and to fire from it was impossible," Modhwadia said.

The report, prepared by a police inspector of railway police, Ahmedabad, had also revealed that no evidence of chilly being thrown on the patrol party had been found during the investigation, which was mentioned in the FIR filed by the patrol party of the Rajasthan police. The call details found from the SIM card, which was allegedly used by Prajapati, has just two calls on record - an outgoing call to Ambaji and an incoming call from Ambaji. "The owner of the card is yet to be identified," he said.

Similarly, the report prepared by deputy superintendent of police, CID (Crime), RK Patel raises various questions. "The injury on the shoulder of Ashish Pandya, the then PSI with Special Operation Group (SOG) in Banaskantha, is found to be a self-injury," Modhwadia said.
