Extortionists demand Rs1 crore from a Bihar Congress leader

Unidentified miscreants have demanded Rs1 crore from the vice-president of Bihar youth Congress Sanjay Singh andthreatened him with dire consequences if he failed to pay the amount within a week, police said.

Singh, a resident of Masaudhpur village in Bihar's Begusrai district, received a call on his personal mobile from the extortionists late last night.

Singh, did not take notice of it taking it as a prank call but when the miscreants again rang him up from a mobile number
9136285127 this morning, he filed an FIR with the Refinery police station .

Refinery police station Station House Officer (SHO) Vishwaranjan said the matter was being investigated.
