Extortionist arrested in Uttar Pradesh

An extortionist who allegedly demanded Rs20 lakh from a share broker, has been arrested, police said today.
       
Anwar of Morta village allegedly demanded the amount over phone from Sarwan Kumar on February 5, SP (City) AK Vijayta said.
   
Kumar informed the police, who nabbed Anwar yesterday when he came at the agreed time to receive the money.
   
A trader Praveen was shot dead in Modinagar near here last month after extortionists demanded Rs5 lakh from him.
