Explosion in south Kashmir

An explosion took place in Pulwama area of south Kashmir today but there was no report of any injury, officials said.

The blast occurred in a vegetable field at Malikpora, 35 kms from here, this morning, they said.

A blast was averted with the recovery of a live grenade from a garbage dump at Bagyas-Chattabal in Chattabal area of the city this morning.

Police were trying to ascertain who planted the devices, they added.
