Ex-serviceman kills two sons, commits suicide in Manipur

A 41-year old ex-serviceman allegedly killed two sons by slitting their throats and committed suicide by hanging from a ceiling fan in Manipur's interior Churachandpur district, official reports said today.

Reports said Zamkhanmuan, an ex-serviceman, allegedly killed his two sons - Thangkhenkhup, 10, and Thangbiakmang, 3, - at their home at New Lamka Vengnuam at Churachandpur district headquarters yesterday.

Later, he committed suicide by hanging, official reports said.

Neighbours later found the three bodies, reports said adding that the man was deserted by his wife was living with his mother and two children.

Reports said Zamkhanmuan had earlier asked his wife Chinzaching who was living with her parents to come back but the latter refused.
