Delhi Police is making elaborate arrangements for traffic, parking of vehicles, pedestrian movement, control and safety of spectators for the IPL matches to be played in the capital.

Seven T-20 IPL matches will be played at the Ferozeshah Kotla Grounds between tomorrow and April 18.

"There is acute scarcity of parking in and around the stadium. Only labelled vehicles will be allowed in the parking lots near the stadium. There is no parking for general vehicles in the close proximity of the stadium," joint commissioner (Traffic) Satyendra Garg said.

No vehicles will be allowed to be parked on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and Jawaharlal Nehru Marg. Vehicles parked on these roads shall be towed away and prosecuted, he said.

All spectators coming in their vehicles shall reach the parking grounds, alight there and avail either 'Park and Ride' facility or walk down to the stadium. After the conclusion of match, spectators are advised to avail ride facilities or can walk down to parking sites.

Though no diversion has been planned for Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, public is advised to avoid these roads from 6 pm 12.30 am on the days when the match is being played.
