A smile by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Wednesday prompted BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi to remark that he was dying to see such an expression on his face.

Singh smiled when the BJP leader referred to his statement  there was "no magic wand" to fight graft and said, "We know there are no magic wands. But there are economic and scientific wands which can be used for this purpose."

As the Prime Minister smiled, Joshi said, "You made my day. I have been dying to see a smile on your face. The House is extremely lucky. Today is a lucky day."

This led the Prime Minister as well as the entire House to laugh.

At the same time, in an obvious reference to Anna Hazare's campaign, the BJP leader cautioned the Prime Minister of the disastrous consequences "if the magic wand in the hands of the lakhs of people gathered here since August 16 hits us."
